Celebrating Women’s History Month

March 4, 2024 Charis Ochu

Every year during Women’s History Month, Hardin-Simmons University celebrates women across the globe through events aimed at highlighting their journeys and achievements.

This year, the Social Work Club will host an International Women’s Day event on March 7, 2024, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Johnson Multipurpose Room. The event includes a panel of international students who will share their cultural experiences along with keynote speaker Dr. Lauren Cantrell, LMSW.

The Social Work Club will also collect hygiene product donations throughout the month to donate to Abilene Hope Haven. This agency caters to the needs of those who are homeless and assists women who have difficulty accessing these items.

If you would like to be a part of this celebration, RSVP.
